Junior PHP Developer

I'm currently working with a client who is looking for a Junior PHP Developer to join their skilled development team.

This role focuses on owning, maintaining, and improving a bespoke CRM system used by landlords and legal administrators to manage job entries and queries — a core part of our operation. You’ll work across both the backend and frontend, supporting an internal platform that integrates with client-facing workflows. You’ll also collaborate closely with two senior developers and the founder.

Essential

• Experience with PHP development (commercial)
• Confident using SQL databases and writing queries
• Solid understanding of web development fundamentals
• Self-driven, reliable, and able to work independently
• Good communicator who can explain their thinking clearly

Desirable

• Exposure to JavaScript for basic frontend tasks
• Familiarity with legacy systems or multi-tech environments (e.g. ASP/.NET)
• Interest or experience with CRM-type platforms
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a small, high-impact team
