Java Developer

Addison Group is working with an Austin based client who is looking to bring on a Java Developer-

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible not only for building and maintaining Java-based applications but also for leading a comprehensive security review of the codebase and infrastructure.

-6 month contract

-Monday - Thursday in office with Friday being optional for remote *MUST BE LOCAL TO AUSTIN*

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles (has worked with latest versions of Java)
• Security mindset – experience identifying and resolving Java-related vulnerabilities
• Familiarity with JavaScript for basic front-end development or integration.
• Experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
• Solid understanding of SQL and PL/SQL for relational databases.
• Experience working with Apache Tomcat for application deployment.
• Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration
• Proficiency with Eclipse IDE for Java development

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in environments undergoing security audits
• Understanding of basic cybersecurity concepts, including CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) and KEV (Known Exploited Vulnerabilities).
• Ability to connect to and query Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQL
