Senior Planning Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Planning Manager to join our Development team. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of development planning, project controls, and program management — from concept to post-handover. You will play a key role in driving strategic planning, project delivery, and reporting across multiple asset classes including residential, hospitality, retail, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Master Development Strategic Program aligned with annual business plans and corporate KPIs.
• Break down corporate KPIs into project-level deliverables and monitor progress accordingly.
• Prepare forecast and actual progress reports, including revenue recognition and cost analysis.
• Monitor contractor performance and review EOT claims, contract programs, and contract milestones.
• Lead the Project Control Systems, including WBS development, procurement strategy, and risk management.
• Generate weekly/monthly progress reports and lead project audit readiness.
• Ensure timely property title deed and krooki processing.
• Support the training and development of junior Omani staff within the department.
• Represent the department during internal and external audits.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIOB, MICE, AACE) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in planning roles with both pre- and post-contract exposure.
• Proven experience in:
• High-volume residential developments (500+ units)
• Hotel, retail, and commercial developments
• Infrastructure and large-scale masterplans
• Strong practical construction knowledge and ability to advise on value engineering and logistics.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 with cost loading, resourcing, and progress tracking.
• Solid understanding of construction law and contracts, and entitlement submissions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.
