AI Engineer

The Role:

A Software Development Engineer at Razorpay is well-grounded – smart, quality-focused, product thinker, business-conscious – not mere coders. Razorpay Engineering creates massive impact at scale, and we expect you to help shape the engineering culture in the right direction. We’re looking for someone who can build a platform layer on top of a Langframework to

create a robust orchestration system for AI models (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, etc.), enabling scalable and flexible integration across multiple use cases and downstream systems. You should either have a solid understanding or direct hands-on experience working with AI systems and models in production environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Be involved in and drive product and design discussions.

● Design and build a platform layer using Langframework for orchestrating

multi-agent AI workflows.

● Architect extensible systems that enable efficient communication with LLMs and

downstream APIs.

● Help us scale our payment infrastructure to get every Indian to pay online.

● Shape Razorpay’s public REST APIs used by developers worldwide.

● Contribute to open source as we set new standards in fintech and AI tooling.

● Brainstorm and explore new AI-first products and features for onboarding,

support automation, and internal ops.

● Be a mentor to junior engineers and drive engineering best practices.

Mandatory Qualifications:

● 1 - 3 years of experience in technology, ideally in a product company.

● Prior experience or strong understanding of building with LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Gemini) and AI model orchestration.

● Experience working with or building on LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.

● Strong product design sense and attention to quality.

● Proficient in one or more backend languages: Python, Golang, Java, PHP, Django, C++.

● Experience with REST APIs and building scalable web backends.

● Ability to build features from scratch and take full ownership.

● Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

● Open to learning new technologies fast.

● Active GitHub profile, weekend projects, or contributions to open-source AI tooling.
