DevOps Engineer (6 Month Contract) - FinTech

Miryco Consultants are working with a high-growth FinTech to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer to help deliver scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions.

This remote-based 6-month contract offers the chance to work closely with a collaborative, modern engineering team on high-impact projects involving AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD development.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for repeatable, auditable deployments.
• Manage and optimise cloud environments in AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
• Configure and maintain Cloudflare services (DNS, security, caching, and performance tuning).
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines (primarily using GitHub Actions) across multiple environments.
• Implement and monitor observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.) for system health and performance.
• Apply security best practices across infrastructure – including secrets management and vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and security teams to ensure consistent deployment practices.
• Document infrastructure components and contribute to knowledge sharing with permanent staff.

Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, etc.
• Proven experience managing Cloudflare configurations (DNS, WAF, performance tools).
• Solid background in building and maintaining CI/CD workflows, ideally using GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with observability stacks and metrics-driven infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Bonus Experience (Desirable):

• Experience working with Snowflake and data infrastructure.
• Exposure to ML Ops and deploying machine learning models.
• Familiarity with SecOps tools and compliance frameworks.

Contract Length: 6 months
