Introduction

Wipro is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, release management, and global DevOps groups to ensure seamless software delivery and operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Artifactory

• Developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation

• Automating deployment, monitoring, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and AppDynamics

• Managing containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (OpenShift preferred)

• Driving DevOps best practices including GitOps, shift-left testing, and blue-green/canary deployments

Mandatory Skills

You will have a solid understanding of:

• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub, LightSpeed, Harness, Tekton

• Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Groovy

• IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible

• Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (OpenShift is a plus)

• Linux commands, shell scripting, and REST APIs

Desirable Skills

Ideally, you will be familiar with:

• DevSecOps tools like SonarQube and Snyk

• Low-code platforms such as Appian

• Build tools: Gradle, Maven, Ant

• Incident and problem management practices

• Disaster recovery and cloud cost optimization
