We’re seeking a skilled IT Network Engineer (Mid+/Senior Level) to join our in-house IT support team for an automotive industry customer. This is a hands-on, onsite role where you'll work closely with another local engineer, directly reporting to the client’s IT manager.
Your primary mission: maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the IT network and infrastructure, while supporting daily operations to ensure smooth business continuity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues in a dynamic environment
- Refine network architecture based on business needs (including VPN scaling and staffing growth)
- Provide deskside support, collaborating with an onsite colleague
- Manage daily server and infrastructure operations (with HQ backup support as needed)
- Support and troubleshoot staff PCs, network, server, and infrastructure issues under client guidance
- Attend onsite at customer’s office and manage daily tasks under direct client instruction
What we’re looking for:
- Network Specialist Certification and relevant hands-on networking experience (troubleshooting, investigation, configuration, optimization)
- Solid experience supporting IT infrastructure: servers, security, networks, and applications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for servers, networks, firewalls, switches and connections,
- Good understanding of deskside/desktop support – hardware & software
- Experience in health checks, maintenance routines, and issue investigations
- Good English skills
Contract details:
Fixed-term: 2 to 6 months (possibility for extension)
Work on-site: Munich, Germany
Daily allowance: €40/day
Accommodation and transportation: provided by employer
Periodic visits to Romania (for extended contracts) covered
