The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented and motivated iOS Software Engineer to join the Participant team. You’ll collaborate with a Senior iOS Engineer and cross-functional partners to develop and maintain core mobile experiences that power how users interact with our platform. Your focus will be on building robust, high-quality features that support participant data capture and video recording—critical to our mission of human insight.

The Team

The Participant team is a tight-knit group of mobile engineers, product managers, designers, and QA specialists. Spread across multiple time zones, the team works closely to deliver seamless, intuitive experiences for the contributors who power our platform. Our focus is on accessibility, stability, and performance—ensuring participants feel confident every time they use our app.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who brings technical skill, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset. You’ll likely thrive here if you’re passionate about building impactful mobile experiences and love working as part of a remote-friendly, inclusive team.

You’ll be great in this role if you have:

• Extensive experience developing iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks
• Strong familiarity with UIKit, Xcode, and the iOS SDK
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs
• A solid understanding of mobile design patterns like MVC or MVVM
• Comfort using Git and working in Agile environments
• A willingness to explore new patterns and frameworks (like reactive programming or Coordinator)
• Familiarity with SwiftUI and Objective-C
• An understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices
• Great communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Experience writing unit tests using XCTest, Quick, or Nimble
  
  

It's An Added Bonus If You Have Experience With

• Exposure to video capture or media recording APIs
• Experience with reactive architectures (e.g., Combine or RxSwift)
