Network Security Engineer

In this role, you will be crucial in safeguarding our client's production environment by managing and implementing network security filtering. Your primary mission will be to ensure the secure and compliant operation of critical systems through expert handling of firewalls, proxies, and WAFs.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Filtering Implementation & Management: Implement and manage firewall flows on various filtering devices (Firewall, Router, Proxy, WAF) according to established security policies and procedures. This includes deploying Group and Local Security policies.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Conduct technical investigations to resolve incidents and blockages, ensuring continuous monitoring of security solutions. Manage incidents throughout their lifecycle in ServiceNow.
• Security Policy Enforcement: Ensure the proper deployment and operational implementation of security policies on filtering tools.
• Collaboration & Partnership: Work closely with project teams, ITRM, and technical architects to implement application flows and evolve risk analysis matrices. Serve as a technical point of contact for filtering solution vendors.
• Operational Maintenance: Maintain the operational conditions of all filtering security solutions, including managing configurations, upgrades, and ensuring the sustainability and proper functioning of applications within your scope.

Essential Technical Skills

• Firewalls: Strong hands-on experience with Checkpoint, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
• Web Application Firewalls (WAF): Experience with F5 AWAF, F5 BigIP + ASM + APM.
• Proxies: Experience with McAfee Web Gateway.
• Change Management: Proficiency in managing network layer changes (600+ clusters & standalone).
• Incident Management: Ability to manage and troubleshoot incidents in ServiceNow.
• Tools: Familiarity with Tufin or DSO tools for flow implementation.
• Certifications (Appreciated): Cisco (CCNP, CCIE) and F5 certifications.

Required Methodologies & Behaviors

• Methodology: Proficiency in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and a DevOps approach.
• Soft Skills: Strong collaboration, organizational skills, rigor, proactivity, and clear communication (oral and written).
• Languages: Fluent in French and good command of written and spoken English.

This role is hybrid, with 2 days per week at the office in Bucharest.
