Senior Python Developer

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Python development experience, with a strong focus on microservices architecture
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of Python-based microservices using FastAPI, Flask, Poetry, and Gunicorn
  • Build and optimize cloud-native applications for performance, security, and scalability on GCP
  • Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor services using Cloud Run, App Engine, and Cloud Build & Run
  • Ensure high availability and operational reliability of cloud-based systems
  • Work with PostgreSQL, Google Redis, Firestore, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub to create efficient, scalable data solutions
  • Define and promote best practices for cloud development, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize database queries, and implement effective caching strategies
  • Guide and mentor developers, perform code reviews, and uphold code quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and solutions efficiently
  • Deep expertise in FastAPI, Flask, Poetry, and Gunicorn
  • Proven experience with Google Cloud PaaS services: Cloud Run, App Engine, and Cloud Build & Run
  • Strong database knowledge: PostgreSQL, Google Redis, Firestore, and BigQuery
  • Hands-on experience with Google Pub/Sub and event-driven architectures
  • Skilled in designing scalable, secure, and resilient APIs and distributed systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes (GKE is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of cloud security and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, IAM, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring teams
  • Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for GCP deployments
  • Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines and tools on GCP is a plus
  • Experience with serverless and event-driven architecture patterns
  • Familiarity with observability tools for logging, monitoring, and tracing (e.g., Stackdriver, OpenTelemetry)
