Why Choose Eneco?

The One Planet strategy we are committed to here at Eneco sets an ambitious goal to be climate neutral by 2035. We want to achieve that goal for both us and our clients. To make it happen, we are dedicated to offering our customers innovative digital capabilities and smart solutions. Our team is working towards creating an exceptional online customer experience, through modernizing the Eneco chat, app and web environments. We are striving to deliver a superior digital customer experience that will stimulate and make it easier for our customers to become greener, every day.

What Will You Do?

As a Data Analyst in our Analytics Platform Team, you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across our brands Eneco and Oxxio. We're looking for someone who can proactively support, govern, and build on our Power BI foundational infrastructure. You will work closely with stakeholders (e.g. data analysts, product analysts, and product managers) to publish, maintain, and optimize our reporting solutions (e.g. Power BI) that support Eneco’s digital transformation.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • The governance of Power BI across the organization, including workspace architecture, permissions, deployment pipelines, and tenant settings.
  • Regularly reviewing Power BI usage, performance, and security to identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing licensing, capacity planning, and working with IT to align technical infrastructure.
  • Designing and optimizing centralized Power BI data models, reports, dashboards, and dataflows that are performant, scalable, and easy to maintain.
  • Sharing knowledge across the departments of Eneco through in-person workshops, documentation, and actively promoting Power BI best practices and training.
  • Improving the integration of Power BI (or future data visualization tools) into our broader data landscape.

Is This You?

Must Have:

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Service, Dataflows, Gateways, Deployment Pipelines, Admin Portal, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Power BI governance, including workspace setup, tenant configuration, role management, and version control strategies.
  • Understanding of licensing models (Pro, Premium per User, Premium Capacity) and how to optimize for usage and cost.
  • Proficient in setting up and managing dataflows, integrating with various data sources, and using parameters and incremental refresh.
  • Able to support and train colleagues from different departments, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable taking the lead in a large corporate environment.
  • Basic statistics knowledge for hypothesis testing.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, or other cloud services).
  • Knowledge of data modeling using dbt and Snowflake DWH
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience automating Power BI administration using PowerShell or the Power BI REST API.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for Power BI (e.g., using PBIP format or tools like Azure DevOps).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams.
  • Dutch language skills are a plus

This is Where You Will Work

You will be working collaboratively with other Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists within the Analytics Platform Team. The team is responsible for maintaining and onboarding all digital analytics and experimentation-related tools. Each specialist focuses on their specific area of specialization to enable value streams to reach their objectives without worrying about the foundational tech infrastructure.

You will not be working alone; instead, you can grow and learn alongside the other Data Analysts in the team and your chapter. Within the team, we foster a culture of learning, actively encourage proactive collaboration, celebrate successes, and use failures as opportunities for growth and improvement.
