Full Stack Developer

Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is a publicly funded research institute, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is home to a diverse community of leading scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and researchers from across the globe, transforming problems and roadblocks into pioneering research and technology prototypes that help move society ahead.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to lead the development of next-generation internal platforms and digital tools. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering capabilities, an intuitive understanding of AI-centric product integration, exceptional UX focus, and deep experience in ERP integration (especially SAP, Oracle, and other enterprise systems). You will work closely with researchers, product owners, business units, and enterprise architects to enable intelligent automation, seamless user experiences, and secure cross-system data flows.

Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications using modern frontend (React, Angular, Vue.js) and backend frameworks (Node.js, Python, Java, .NET).
• Build secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs for real-time and batch data interactions.
• Implement scalable backend services, microservices, and database layers (SQL/NoSQL).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and highly usable interfaces.

AI Platform Integration

• Integrate AI/ML services and models developed by internal R&D teams into web platforms and tools.
• Design APIs and workflows to serve AI inference results to end users in real time or batch mode.
• Collaborate with MLOps teams to productionize and monitor models.

UX-Driven Development

• Advocate for user-centered design in all stages of development.
• Translate wireframes and mockups into interactive, accessible front-end components.
• Work with product managers and end users to refine UI/UX through rapid prototyping and testing.

ERP & Enterprise System Integration

• Develop and maintain integration layers between in-house applications and ERP systems like SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, and Microsoft Dynamics.
• Build and consume enterprise APIs and middleware to enable seamless data flow between HR, Finance, Procurement, and Research systems.
• Handle system authentication and security compliance, including single sign-on (SSO) and auditability.

DevOps & Collaboration

• Use Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
• Ensure documentation, unit testing, and deployment best practices.

Requirements

• UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD), accessibility compliance (WCAG).
• Experience with service bus, middleware, and enterprise service orchestration (e.g., Apache Kafka, MuleSoft).
• Knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with digital twin, process automation, or intelligent workflows is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in full stack development roles.
• Hands-on experience with one or more ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) including integration design and implementation.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and backend experience in Node.js, Python (FastAPI, Django), or .NET Core.
• Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, model APIs, or inference deployment is a plus.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong understanding of security best practices, OAuth2, SAML, SSO, and RBAC.
