Descon is seeking a qualified Equipment & Plant Engineer to oversee the availability, maintenance, and optimal utilization of all project site equipment. The incumbent will also be responsible for the implementation of GDES (Global Descon Engineering Standards) at site and will play a key role in equipment planning and management for shutdowns and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely availability of equipment and machinery at site.
- Reduce equipment breakdown time to accelerate work progress.
- Implement preventive maintenance norms and schedules.
- Manage POL (Petroleum, Oil & Lubricants) requirements efficiently.
- Arrange and track rental equipment to cover shortfalls in company-owned fleet.
- Maintain updated records of hired equipment to avoid redundant deployments.
- Execute equipment planning aligned with project needs (Onshore & Offshore).
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards for equipment selection and usage.
- Develop cost comparison sheets based on received quotations.
- Process service orders in SAP (MM module).
- Ensure timely invoice processing in SAP and obtain verification from end users.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction and/or oil & gas (Onshore/Offshore) projects.
- Strong awareness of rental equipment markets and suppliers specific to oil & gas projects.
- Sound technical knowledge of equipment categories used in oil & gas environments.
- Familiarity with ADNOC equipment selection criteria and operational standards.
- Proficient in SAP (MM Module) for service order and invoice processing.
