Title : Senior Kotlin Developer

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration : 12+ Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Kotlin Developer to join our team and work with our client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems using Kotlin. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to critical software solutions that support business operations at a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using Kotlin
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to build scalable and high-quality software
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and design
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across services and systems
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose improvements

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Kotlin for backend development (at least 3 years)
• Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming concepts
• Experience with frameworks such as Ktor, Spring Boot (with Kotlin), or similar
• Good knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API design
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or other DevOps tools
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
