Job Summary;

Senior Data Governance Expert is one of the main roles within Data Excellence Centre of CBQ. As a part of that team Senior Data Governance Expert’s main focus will be around designing Data Governance policies, standards and best practices and making sure they’re enforced within assigned data domain. Senior Data Governance Expert will be also responsible for implementing Data Quality framework across different domains within the bank.

Key Accountabilities;

Develop and drive adoption of Data Governance policies and standards;
Implement holistic Data Quality frameworks across different Data Domains;
Document Data Quality rules;
Implement complex Data Quality monitoring projects using Data Quality Platform and other technologies;
Facilitate investigation Data Quality incidents in order to find root cause and address it to right team;
Managing relations with Data Champions across different SBU’s of the Bank;
Make sure Data Quality KPI’s are met within assigned domain;
Work with Source system owners, Project Management Office, Data Team and others to ensure Data Quality incidents are resolved;
Work with Data Team, Project Management Office, IT, Ops and Business to make sure Data Governance Policies are met;
Promoting Data Governance standards and best practices across teams like Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Regulatory Reporting, Ops and Business teams;
Communicate with Data Owners and Data Consumers in order to gather their requirements regarding data;
Guiding Data Governance & Data Quality analysts on best practices and mentoring new joiners.

Business Analytics
Data Warehousing
Data Quality
Software and Tools knowledge:
BI tools (at least one of): IBM Cognos BI, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
Reporting (at least one of): SSRS, MicroStrategy
ETL (at least one of): SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, Pentaho
SQL – Advanced user (Stored Procedures, Window functions, Temp Tables, Recursive Queries)
Python – Basic Automation
Knowledge (at least one of) DQ platforms is a plus: IBM WKC+ DataStage, Atacama DQ, Imformatica DQ Platform .
