Management Consultant – Banking

Salary: Up to £55,000 base + benefits

The Role

As a Management Consultant in the Banking team, you will:

• Deliver business and tech-enabled transformation programmes within commercial and corporate banking.
• Lead projects or workstreams, ensuring robust governance, delivery, and risk management.
• Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, advising on operating models, regulatory change, and implementation.
• Guide and develop junior team members while contributing to banking offerings and thought leadership.

Key Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years’ consulting experience, ideally from Tier 1 consulting firms
• • Strong academic background with polished communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Proven experience in commercial or retail banking consulting, including: Core banking processes and systems, Mortgages, payments, cards or Regulatory change projects
• Experience of programme or project management within complex environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with structured thinking and ability to propose workable solutions quickly.
• Understanding of emerging technology trends (Cloud, AI, APIs, microservices, blockchain) and their impact on banking operating models.
• Comfort working at the intersection of business and technology, with an appreciation of how digital can solve complex client problems.
• Experience leading or coordinating teams to deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
