Blockchain Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Blockchain Developer / Web3 Engineer to join our innovative team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and implementing secure, scalable, and production-grade decentralised solutions leveraging Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT). You will be instrumental in exploring and building out cutting-edge applications, focusing on enterprise-grade blockchain use cases and integrating Web3 technologies with traditional systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Blockchain Solution Design & Development: Design, develop, and implement secure and efficient smart contracts using languages such as Solidity, Rust, or Go, tailored for specific business logic and enterprise requirements.
• Decentralised Application (dApp) Development: Build and integrate front-end and back-end components of decentralised applications, ensuring seamless interaction with blockchain networks.
• Enterprise DLT Implementation: Work hands-on with enterprise-grade Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) such as Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, or private Ethereum networks, including deployment, configuration, and customisation.
• Security & Best Practices: Implement robust security measures and cryptographic principles throughout the blockchain development lifecycle, including smart contract auditing, vulnerability assessments, and secure key management.
• Integration with Existing Systems: Design and develop integration layers to connect blockchain solutions with existing enterprise applications, databases, and cloud services (e.g., via APIs, message queues).
• Performance & Scalability Optimisation: Analyse and optimise the performance and scalability of blockchain networks and applications, addressing challenges related to transaction throughput, latency, and resource utilisation.
• Architectural Contribution: Participate in architectural discussions and provide technical leadership on DLT strategies, network design, consensus mechanisms, and data models for blockchain-based solutions.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for smart contracts and dApps, including unit, integration, and security testing.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Software Developer or Engineer, with at least 2-3 years dedicated to Blockchain/Web3 development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more blockchain-specific programming languages (e.g., Solidity, Rust, Go) and general-purpose languages like JavaScript/TypeScript or Java/Python.
• Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and deploying smart contracts.
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise-grade Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) such as Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, or private Ethereum implementations.
• Understanding of core blockchain concepts including consensus mechanisms, cryptography, decentralised identity, and tokenisation.
• Experience with Web3 libraries and frameworks (e.g., Web3.js, Ethers.js) for dApp development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying and managing blockchain nodes or services.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong analytical approach to complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of explaining complex blockchain concepts to diverse audiences.

Desirable (Bonus Points):

• Experience with blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) offerings from cloud providers.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
• Knowledge of zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), verifiable credentials, or other advanced cryptographic techniques.
• Experience in specific industry applications of blockchain (e.g., supply chain, finance, digital identity, gaming).
• Relevant certifications in blockchain technologies.
