👥 Your role in the team

• Development of an information security strategy for the University of Salzburg.
• Implementation of an ISMS in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 standards in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, particularly IT services.
• Conducting training sessions on cybersecurity and raising awareness among employees.
• Implementation of regulations such as GDPR and NIS2 in close coordination with the Data Protection Officer, particularly through the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Consulting IT services and other organizational units on information security.
• Conducting internal audits together with the data protection officer.
• Coordination and communication in the event of IT security incidents.
• Assistance in fulfilling reporting obligations to authorities.
• Participation in internal and external committees on information security.

Qualifications

• Very good German skills (C1), fluent English skills with relevant technical vocabulary (at least C2).
• Broad foundational knowledge in the IT field.
• Deep knowledge in the field of information security, especially cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of relevant frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001.
• Knowledge in risk management, continuity management, and stakeholder management.
• High sense of responsibility.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of cybersecurity.
• Experience in developing internal policies, auditing, and reporting to top management.

Education

• University degree (university/technical college) in a relevant field of study (Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Informatics, etc.) or HTL or comparable education along with extensive professional experience and relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
