Senior Front-End Engineer (Typescript/React Native)

We’re looking for a thoughtful, self-driven Senior Front-end Engineer to join our distributed team, and help build products that people use monthly to book beauty services. This position has potential of evolving in tech / VP engineering but still highly hands-on development.

Working in the MERO Team, means that you are empowered to contribute, solve interesting challenges and build the best apps and systems. 

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with a small, self motivated team of developers and product people to find the best solutions to drive growth and engagement
• Develop MERO systems and apps using best practices, using scalable and maintainable code
• Design, develop and deploy backend services with focus on high availability, low latency and scalability
• Help your your teammates solve user centric problems using data-informed insights
• Improve performance of existing features and build new features to support and speed up growth
• Build an engineering culture based on knowledge sharing, cooperation and ego-less decision making

Who you are:

• You have a deep understanding and good experience using modern development environment and tools both back-end and front-end
• You are fluent in writing and optimizing Typescript in React Native/ React.js / Node.js code as well as operating/migrating large data structures in mongo db.
• You care about quality, maintainability and scalability with any deliverable that you ship out
• You are a "no-ego" doer - you don't attach your personal self to ideas and you are action-oriented
• You are self-driven, and you have a higher expectation of yourself, than MERO does of you
• You aim for clarity, not cleverness, in the way you communicate, and you seek to understand first by actively listening to others
