Junior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team at fme Romania. As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support our cloud and DevOps experts in building modern infrastructure and automations to help our clients thrive in a digital world.

🖥️ What you'll do:

Supporting the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications;
Assisting in writing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform;
Learning to work with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes in client projects;
Collaborating with developers, DevOps seniors, and other teams to improve workflows;
Participating in monitoring/logging integration and basic troubleshooting tasks;
Continuously learning cloud and DevOps best practices in a structured environment

Requirements

🖥 Technical Skills:

0-3 years of hands-on experience or personal projects related to DevOps, cloud, or infrastructure;
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (especially AWS - certification is a plus);
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell);
Basic understanding of Git and CI/CD concepts;
Passion for automation, cloud computing, and learning new technologies

🌍 Language:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
German is a plus

🌐 Preferred qualifications:

Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation);
Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes through coursework or personal labs;
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/EFK);
Understanding of modern application architectures (microservices, APIs);
University degree in Computer Science or related field (completed or in progress).
