As a Software Engineer on the gStore team, you will drive the architecture across our serving layer (e.g., web and middle-tier layers). You will not only solve technical issues but also mentor other engineers and establish standard procedures. You will play a key role by enabling intelligent web experiences and improving developer efficiency.
Google Store focuses on building relationships with customers and providing the best experiences with our devices and services. Google Store offers first-party retail experiences with our products, both online and at our physical retail stores in New York City, Mountain View and Boston.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with front-end and user interface development.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- Experience with TypeScript and Angular.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on projects.
- Architect and lead the development of a scalable, web platform using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Define technical standards and best practices, mentoring engineers to elevate the team's capabilities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding the technical direction across the gStore ecosystem.
- Lead technical engineering efforts while contributing to the code-base.
