Role Overview:

As the Product Manager - Opera at HRS, you will serve as a subject matter expert and technical lead for the Oracle Opera Property Management System. In this role, you will manage and support the Opera implementation team, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of installations, configurations, upgrades, and integrations for our hospitality customers.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, sales, support, and implementation teams to ensure Opera services are delivered efficiently and meet customer expectations. This role requires deep functional and technical knowledge of Opera, hands-on experience with deployments and integrations, and leadership capabilities to guide junior staff and contribute to continuous process improvements.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership externally to our customer and internally to the HRS implementation and service teams.
  • Manage and assist Junior technical staff for ongoing training and certifications
  • Lead solution design and implementation aspects of engagements) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
  • Partner with Technical Leadership to define, document and execute best practices for customer environment builds. This should include, but is not limited to, staging server environments, golden images, build check lists, quality assurance checks, programming, installations, training, etc.
  • Analyzes business needs to help ensure solutions meets the customer's objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen.
  • Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations.
  • Provides direction, documentation, training, mentoring to implementation and service teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions.
  • Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and performing site surveys with Sales

  • Collaborates with the sales team by providing domain expertise.
  • Resolves complex customer issues by recommending, documenting and implementing solutions.
  • Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
  • Define, document and oversee technical processes for customer interactions including kickoff, installation, customer training, etc.
  • Collaborate with your peers in other states and international territories to define, document and continuously improve technical best practices
  • Mentor junior technical staff for ongoing skills training and certifications
  • Maintain and build strategic service delivery relationships with all our HW and SW partners
  • Oracle Database Capacity planning, evaluate database servers, manage all aspects of an Oracle database including installation, configuration, design, and data migration. Additional responsibilities include performance monitoring, security, backups, troubleshooting, and data recovery.
  • Implement and support interfaces such as OXI, OWS, IFC8, etc.
  • Implement and Support Opera front end application.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Opera (v5 and/or Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations and related technology environments
  • Proven experience leading technical teams in an implementation or delivery-focused role
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations and customer engagements
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, integrations, and system configurations
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders


Languages:

  • Fluent English both written and spoken.
  • Fluent Spanish both written and spoken.
