Data Science Trainee

Job Description

Join our experienced team in Espoo, Finland, and gain valuable experience in developing and optimizing NLP and LLM models, curating and training data pipelines, and experimenting with cutting-edge AI technologies to deliver impactful, scalable solutions. Position: Data Science Trainee

Duration: 3 Months (with option to extend)

Date: Late August to the end of November, 2025

Location: Hybrid in Espoo, Finland

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Develop and maintain scalable and efficient models for NLP/LLM systems
• Optimize existing pipelines for curation, training, and evaluation efficiency
• Conduct experiments and prototype new ideas to advance our AI models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Prepare and present findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

• Currently a candidate for a Master’s or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field with an accredited school in Finland
• Experience in data science, specifically with NLP, search, recsys (either one is fine)
• Proficiency in ML/NLP frameworks such as HuggingFace, Spacy, NLTK, etc
• Experience with data curation, model training, benchmark evaluations, etc. for NLP/LLM models
• Excellent communication skills and team player attitude
