What You’ll Do:

📈 Drive Smart Search: Own the product direction of search ranking systems that sit at the core of user experience and business growth.

🔬 Bridge Tech and Strategy: Work side-by-side with data scientists and engineers to translate business goals into algorithms, metrics and experiments.

🔍 Make It Measurable: Define KPIs, track outcomes, and champion a culture of iterative, data-informed development.

⚙️ Own the Infrastructure: Oversee search backend systems that are built to scale – from ranking algorithms to real-time personalisation.

🤝 Lead Collaboration: Keep communication clear and productive across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and speed.

You’ll be joining a tight-knit product team working alongside highly skilled engineers, data scientists and a dedicated Engineering Manager. Everyone contributes to technical decisions, product direction, and ultimately, the experience delivered to millions of users.

What They’re Looking For:

✅ 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager (or Data Scientist with strong product ownership)

✅ A background in ranking, recommendation, or search-related domains

✅ Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and search infrastructure

✅ Strong technical fluency and experience working closely with engineering and data science teams

✅ Knowledge of databases and backend systems (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)

✅ Excellent communication and prioritisation skills

✅ Bonus: Experience working in a startup or fast-growing tech environment
