GPU Software Engineer

Graphics GPU Software Engineer | Vulkan / DX11/12 / OpenGL

A world-leading technology company based in Cork that is looking to expand its GPU Software team and is looking for a talented Staff Software Engineer with strong experience in systems programming.

As a GPU Software Engineer, you'll dive deep into the graphics stack on Android and/or Windows. You'll play a key role in developing and optimising our GPU drivers for industry-standard APIs such as OpenGL ES, Vulkan, OpenCL, and DirectX. What's more, you'll help us unlock the power of GPUs for cutting-edge applications in machine learning and image processing.

Your impact will span:

• Designing and implementing innovative features.
• Supporting the full hardware development lifecycle (pre and post-silicon).
• Diagnosing and resolving complex software issues.
• Fine-tuning software for maximum performance and efficiency.
• Creating robust unit tests.
• Partnering with game developers and OEMs to bring incredible experiences to life.

We're looking for someone with:

• Expertise in C/C++ programming.
• A solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented principles.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to thrive independently.
• A highly motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused approach.
• A keen interest in computer graphics, machine learning, or GPGPU.

Even better if you have experience with:

• Device driver development (GPU or CPU).
• Graphics APIs like OpenGL ES, Vulkan, DX11/12, or OpenCL.
• Game development, game engines, or rendering techniques.
• Embedded systems and RTOS.
• ARM architecture.
• Version control systems (e.g., Git).
