Role:

Java Developer with Snowflake


Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer with solid experience in backend development and exposure to data platforms or data migration projects. You’ll work on building performant backend services and contributing to large-scale data integration and migration workflows, with Snowflake being a key part of the data ecosystem.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs for data-centric applications
  • Design and implement data integration pipelines in collaboration with data engineering teams
  • Leverage Snowflake as a core data platform for building and maintaining scalable data solutions
  • Participate in and lead data migration efforts, including on-prem to cloud and legacy-to-modern platform transitions (with Snowflake as a target environment)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business and technical requirements are feasible and well-defined
  • Optimize the performance of data queries and backend services handling large-scale datasets in Snowflake
  • Ensure clean, maintainable code by applying best practices, writing unit/integration tests, and conducting code reviews
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives


Technical Skills


Must-have:

  • Strong proficiency in Java (5+ years) and Snowflake
  • Backend development experience (REST APIs, microservices)
  • Solid understanding of SQL and working with relational databases
  • Experience with data migrations or data platform integration


Nice to have:

  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow, DBT)
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
