Network Security Engineer

Position: Network Security Engineer – Full Time (2 Openings)

Locations: 1 x Madrid, Spain | 1 x Barcelona, Spain

Duration: 6 Months

Overview

We are currently hiring two experienced Network Security Engineers, one to be based onsite in Madrid and one onsite in Barcelona, for full-time 6-month engagements.

Both roles require Fortinet NSE 7 certification and extensive hands-on experience delivering security solutions in complex environments. The engineers will lead technical engagements, drive project delivery, and work closely with both customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand customer objectives, technical requirements, and project scopes.
• Lead technical discussions and clarify engagement requirements.
• Support scoping, estimate project efforts, and contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Conduct technical risk analysis and propose mitigation plans.
• Participate in solution design workshops and contribute to technical architecture.
• Produce and maintain documentation (HLD, LLD, migration plans, testing procedures, etc.).
• Deploy, configure, test, and troubleshoot Fortinet security products in the customer environment.
• Support go-live activities, migrations, and solution rollouts.
• Provide knowledge transfer to customer teams.
• Resolve complex technical escalations in collaboration with Fortinet’s support and engineering teams.
• Complete all administrative and reporting tasks as required.
• Stay current on Fortinet technologies and contribute to internal best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in network security consulting or engineering roles.
• Mandatory: Fortinet NSE 7 Certification.
• Strong experience with NGFW and SD-WAN.
• Experience as a Professional Services consultant or engineer.
• Expertise in at least four (4) of the following areas is desirable:
• Email Security
• Advanced Threat Protection
• Endpoint Security
• Application Security
• Web Application Firewall
• Network Security Management
• SIEM
• Network Virtualization / SDN
• Cloud-based security solutions
• Experience in multi-vendor environments and familiarity with third-party security tools.
• Proven experience with SMBs, Enterprises, and/or Telco/MSSP environments.
• Scripting skills and automation experience are a plus.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with a professional, customer-focused approach.

Additional Information

• Two positions available: One engineer will be based in Madrid, and one in Barcelona.
• Candidates must be based in or able to work onsite in the respective location.
• Travel may be required within each city or nearby sites as needed.
