We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer and Release Manager to join our team in Dublin.
In this hybrid, permanent role, you will be responsible for end-to-end infrastructure management and deployment processes across cloud (primarily Azure) and non-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll play an essential part in maintaining system reliability, streamlining release processes, and ensuring seamless collaboration across technical teams. Your core responsibilities include:
- Systems Administration: Configure, monitor, back up, and maintain applications and services for optimal performance and availability.
- Incident Management: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues, keeping stakeholders updated throughout the incident lifecycle.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design and maintain automated build, deployment, and configuration processes for efficient and reliable release cycles.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage Azure cloud resources, including Virtual Machines, AKS, ASP, Blob storage, and geo-replication.
- Technical Solution Evaluation: Assess and recommend technology solutions that align with business needs and system architecture.
- Release Engineering: Oversee cloud-based release processes, ensuring adherence to change management and risk mitigation practices.
- Performance Monitoring: Leverage metrics to monitor infrastructure health, pinpoint performance bottlenecks, and optimize resource use.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, providing L3 support and facilitating communication during incidents.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Experience: 6+ years in DevOps, Release Engineering, or a similar role, with a focus on cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud architecture (Azure), automation tools (SALT, etc.), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Change Management: Experience with tools like ServiceNow for effective change management.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting in complex, distributed systems.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and emerging DevOps practices.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk for system health monitoring and performance tracking.
