Senior Software Engineer

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a 6–12 month contract (starting ASAP) with a day rate of €600–€700. The role is based in Stockholm, though remote candidates within the EU will also be considered.

Our client is a well-established and fast-growing eCommerce business known for its operational excellence and tech-driven approach. As part of their internal engineering team, you’ll be contributing to the core systems that power their logistics and fulfilment operations—critical to delivering a seamless customer experience.

This role offers the chance to work on scalable, high-performance backend systems with real impact. You’ll be part of a collaborative, agile team, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers who care about quality, performance, and long-term maintainability.

As a senior engineer, you’ll also help shape architectural decisions and mentor junior team members, playing a key role in the team’s ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal logistics and order fulfilment systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept to deployment
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable code
• Participate in architecture reviews and continuous improvement
• Support and mentor junior team members as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and scaling complex software systems
• Strong background in .NET and C#
• Experience with SQL Server or similar relational databases
• Familiarity with agile development and DevOps practices
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team

Desirable

• Frontend experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Exposure to Python or Go
• Background in eCommerce or logistics
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
