Front-end Developer

Job Description

Do you like being ahead of the curve? To work on developing software for new market leading technology? As a Frontend Software Developer at Robin Radar, you will do just that!

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to directly work on our frontend software development and play a key role in how our radar technology is experienced by our users. You’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers to build interfaces that are as powerful as they are user-friendly. Expect a role that blends performance, design, and meaningful user experience.

Not only that, but they will be part of an amazing, growing and agile R&D Software Development Team. They will report to the team lead of software applications, who is there to support and guide them.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain frontend applications in React (TypeScript).
• Implement clean, reusable components with a strong focus on UX and responsiveness.
• Contribute towards data visualisation and mapping features.
• Work closely with the backend team to create a clear and insightful presentation of data.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation.
• Working with other departments on technical issues.
• Give direction to software programming and documentation development.
  
  
  

Job requirements

• BA/MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, web technologies, React and HTML / CSS
• Comfortable working with REST APIs and handling real-world data.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and a user-centred approach to interface design.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Experienced in writing unit tests and test scenarios about your own work.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Effective communicator and team collaborator; fluent in English.
• Live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague.
  
  
  

Nice To Have(s)

• Experience with libraries Jotai and Mapbox-GL
• Experience with developing on Linux.
• Experience with radar systems or a similar industry.
• Worked with development methodologies like Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with Qt/QML-based embedded UI.
