Full Stack Engineer
Location: Toronto, Hybrid | 2 days onsite (Mondays, Tuesdays). In September, onsite 4 days
Duration: 6 months
Daily Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop scalable and robust full stack applications using React, Next.js, and backend technologies.
- Design and implement microservices and containerized applications using Kubernetes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality across the stack.
- Lead the development of high-quality code, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure the adoption of cutting- edge technologies and methodologies.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Must-have Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in fullstack development (9+ experience would be ideal)
- Proficiency in React and backend technologies (Node.js/Java).
- Experience with Java streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka Streams, Java Streams API).
- Proven experience in architecting and developing scalable applications.
- Leadership skills and experience working with technical teams (Developers/Quality Engineers/Business Analysts).
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of capital markets and electronic trading flows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
