As a Junior Software Engineer on the Software Architecture and Engineering Team, you’ll be part of a fast-moving, forward-thinking group that designs and builds custom software solutions for critical defense operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience with at least 1 programming language (i.e. Java, Node/JavaScript, C#, Python, Perl).
- Hands-on experience with at least 1 database (i.e. Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Hands-on experience with at least 1 User Interface Frameworks (i.e. Bootstrap, JQuery, Vue, Next) preferred.
- Understands APIs, Microservices, and/or Server-Client application interactions and design, with hands-on experience in at least one of those areas.
- Full Stack Software Developers preferred.
- Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- At least 1 year of software engineering experience.
- At least 6 months of experience in the commercial industry sector preferred.
- At least 6 months participating in code reviews for a team preferred.
- At least 1 year of hands-on coding experience in one of the following programming languages: C/C++, C#, Java, Go, NodeJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Perl, PHP.
- At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience designing and implementing databases and database schemas for a production software system (i.e. Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) preferred.
- At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience building and deploying production containerized software applications for either Docker, DockerSwarm, Kubernetes, or OpenShift (or similar) preferred.
- At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience with either ReactJS or Angular (or a similar front-end framework)(experience with ReactJS preferred) preferred.
- At least 6 months of hands-on coding experience with Data Caches, Data Indexes, Data Streams, or Data Queues (experience in all of these preferred) preferred.
- At least 6 months of experience developing and deploying production software applications in at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, preferred.
- At least 6 months of hands-on experience designing and implementing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) preferred.
