Job Title: Sr./Lead .NET Developer

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – Onsite 1 Day/Week)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior or Lead .NET Developer to support a mission-critical platform modernization initiative for our end client, United Airlines, headquartered in Chicago. This is a hybrid position, requiring one day a week onsite, and is ideal for a technically strong, delivery-focused engineer with excellent problem-solving skills and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade web applications using .NET Core and AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver scalable and reliable systems.
  • Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices in software engineering.
  • Integrate modern front-end technologies (React, Redux) with robust backend services.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure applications meet high standards of security, performance, and maintainability.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong emphasis on .NET Core.
  • Solid expertise with React.js and Redux for front-end development.
  • Proven experience deploying and maintaining applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and containerization (e.g., Docker, ECS, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
  • Must be a local candidate or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience in the airline or travel industry.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, GraphQL, or microservices.
  • Exposure to serverless architectures on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway).
