About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Front-End Developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking financial organization based in Southampton. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the development of a modern software platform that is pivotal to the company's digital transformation. As a foundational member of the technology team, you will play a critical role in shaping the front-end architecture, implementing best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable applications. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in front-end development, with a proven track record working with React, TypeScript, and Next.js. A strong understanding of component-based architecture and front-end data modeling is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with REST APIs and integrating front-end solutions within .NET environments. Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library, as well as version control systems like GitHub, is required. Experience with Ionic, Azure cloud services, DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes using YAML, and Storybook will be considered advantageous. The role also demands excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to mentor junior developers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern, scalable front-end architectures utilizing React, TypeScript, and Next.js to create robust and maintainable applications.
• Collaborate closely with back-end teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs and data services, delivering cohesive digital solutions.
• Create and maintain reusable UI components and data models, optimizing for performance and user experience across web and mobile platforms.
• Participate in technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and advocate for best practices in front-end development.
• Establish and uphold front-end coding standards, ensuring code quality, consistency, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Support the professional growth of team members by mentoring junior developers, providing technical guidance, and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Package, optimize, and deploy applications efficiently, ensuring high performance and responsiveness on various devices and browsers.
