Backend Developer

Help modernise and expand mission-critical national systems by delivering robust Java, Spring Boot and C#/.NET Core microservices on AWS. Working alongside talented engineers in a secure environment, you'll uplift legacy capability, add new features, and ensure performance at scale. Initial 6 month contract within a multi-year program of work with high likelihood of ongoing extensions; active NV1 (or higher) clearance is essential from day one.

You'll design, build and support secure, cloud-native services for a on-prem to Azure migration. Our client is seeking people who have demonstrated experience in the below:

• Developing & uplifting Java, Spring Boot and C#/.NET Core microservices and APIs
• Leveraging AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/CDK) & CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
• Uplifiting old technology for on-prem to cloud migration (Azure)
• Collaborating in agile squads delivering scalable, low-latency national services
• Knowledge of distributed systems, observability & performance tuning
• Active NV1 or above clearance required (Baseline is not sufficient)
• Canberra/Melbourne/Sydney location
