Senior Fullstack Developer

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Fullstack Developer to join a tight-knit team working on a large-scale platform. This is a permanent role with a strong mix of hands-on development, technical leadership, and team mentoring.

You’ll lead the development of a distributed, event-sourced backend system, while driving feature delivery and guiding a team of mid-level engineers. The role offers clear scope to step into an Engineering Lead position over time.

This is a full-time position, with four days in the office (Friday standard), based in the Perth CBD.

You Should Have

• 10+ years’ industry experience
• 5+ years with:
• Node.js
• TypeScript
• JavaScript
• MongoDB
• Experience with a modern frontend (React, Vue, or Angular)
• Strong communication skills and mentoring ability

Nice to Have

• Exposure to event sourcing
• Experience with high-load distributed systems
• A balance of hands-on development and technical leadership (approx. 50/50)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve a distributed, high-performance backend
• Build and maintain core features across a modern platform
• Mentor and support a team of three mid-level developers
• Contribute to roadmap planning and cross-functional delivery
