Role: Python Developer

Location: Melbourne

Duration: 12 months FTC

Key skills for Python opportunity -

-Python experience; specifically, Flask/FastAPI/Django experience.

-API experience; any experience working on projects where external customers were consuming an API.

-Strong Communication skills

Work on backend systems, data processing pipelines, and API integrations in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
• Debug and resolve technical issues across environments (dev/test/prod).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong programming skills in Python (7+ years preferred).
• Experience with Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience in unit testing and debugging techniques.

Nice to Have / Added Advantage:

• Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, etc.
• Experience with Docker or containerised deployments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and monitoring tools.
