Our client, a government agency, requires a Project Manager to support the delivery key components in a Cyber Security program to meet compliance requirements including establishing a Security Operations Centre (SOC), implementing a SIEM, and uplifting Essential 8 controls. This role is on an initial 11 month day rate contract, based in the Brisbane office, Hybrid 3/2 WFO/H.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, stakeholders, and risks, while developing charters, schedules, and budgets.
- Lead project delivery by managing resources, tracking progress, resolving issues, and maintaining open communication with stakeholders. Accurate documentation and timely reporting will be essential.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships, managing expectations, and addressing concerns will ensure continued engagement.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, maintaining risk registers and contingency plans. Applying quality standards, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions will support successful outcomes.
- Promote continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and refining delivery practices, while ensuring compliance with governance, WHS, environmental policies, and the organisation's Code of Conduct.
- Coordinate site readiness for cybersecurity initiatives, including hardware, network, and SCADA upgrades.
- Manage release planning, cutover execution, and engage effectively with delivery partners.
- Updating disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational procedures.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Strong Project Management experience across Cyber Security initiative sacross OT and IT
- Qualified with PRINCE2, PMBOK, or equivalent project management certification.
- Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements.
