Business Data Analyst - Tableau

• 3-6 month initial contract to start ASAP
• Must be an expert on Tableau
• Central CBD location - 2 days WFH

Our client is currently on the lookout for an experienced Reporting Analyst/ Business Analyst/ Data Analyst to help uplift the current Tableau reporting environment.

Responsibilities :

• Build, publish, and maintain Tableau dashboards and data visualizations
• Interpret business requirements and translate them into scalable visual solutions
• Connect and model data from various sources, including SQL, Excel, and cloud platforms
• Optimise dashboard performance, ensuring responsiveness and accuracy
• Collaborate with teams to improve data literacy and promote self-service analytics
• Document best practices and support ongoing enhancements to analytics tools

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst with proficiency with Tableau

• Strong stakeholder communication and management, ability to gather business requirements and transform into proposed dashboard designs. Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders to confirm and prioritise pipeline of work
• Strong Tableau development skills (intermediate to advanced)
• Agile way of working - There is a backlog of planned work as well as ongoing enhancements / BAU work across the board - fortnightly planning session to allocate and prioritise
• Scoping, data discovery, develop dashboard, showcase, approval, publish on tableau dash server, then publish tableau production, documentation for the end user - (Program / Project Managers, Construction Managers, Designers etc)
