Sr. Backend Engineer (Elixir)

RYZ Labs is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join one of our client’s teams, which is pioneering a mobile-first, ambient AI “Relationship Intelligence Platform”.

On a daily and weekly basis, Sr. Backend Engineer is accountable for the full stack supporting their API interface to the mobile application. This includes the web layer, authentication, data enrichment, event sourcing via CQRS, database layer with Postgres, and the infrastructure holding it all up in Google Cloud.

Basic Qualifications:

• Sr Backend Engineer with 10+ years of experience
• 5+ years of Elixir / Erlang experience
• Backend frameworks: Phoenix (web), commanded (CQRS), Broadway (pub/sub), Oban (background jobs), Hermes (MCP)
• Infrastructure: Google Cloud, Postgres, Terraform, Appsignal

• Designing and executing architectural plans/changes
• Debugging production systems with monitoring and observability
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• Owning a database (Postgres on Google Cloud SQL)
