Software Architect / Technical Lead (m/f/x)

Location: Luxembourg or Greater Region

Work from home, amount of days depends on the country of residence.

Salary: 90.000 – 95.000 EUR gross/year + meal vouchers

We are working with an international technology-driven organization to hire a Software Architect / Technical Lead for a strategic digital platform team. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a growing development team and overseeing the technical direction of a modular backend solution used across the company’s global digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers, acting as technical point of contact and coach
• Define and maintain scalable, secure software architecture aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders on feature design and delivery
• Ensure solution reliability and performance, including incident response and improvements
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new team members
• Maintain and evolve a modern containerized environment (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes)
• Balance hands-on coding (approx. 30%) with architecture, leadership and planning (approx. 70%)

Must-Haves

• Proven experience in a similar software architecture or technical lead position
• Strong background in software design patterns and system design (OOA/OOD, DDD, CQRS, SOLID)
• Hands-on experience with modern backend technologies (preferably .NET/C#)
• Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Excellent communication and people leadership skills
• Based in Luxembourg or open to cross-border commuting from DE/FR/BE

Nice-to-Haves

• Exposure to front-end technologies and/or full-stack environments
• Experience in regulated, data-sensitive or enterprise-grade software environments
• Familiarity with multi-site or nearshore team setups

Interview Process

3. Final in-person or video interview with stakeholders, including current team lead
