JavaScript Engineer

Location: Netherlands, Amsterdam (Hybrid)

Contract: Initial 3-month contract (full-time)

We are looking for a JavaScript Engineer to join our team and help shape the next generation of a Web SDK for Maps. You’ll work in a collaborative, innovative environment across the entire products life-cycle; a unique opportunity to use your curiosity, expertise and ideas to craft a true state-of-art SDK!

What You’ll Do

•Contribute to all phases of development, with a strong emphasis on quality and performance.

•Participate in both product discovery (experiments, prototypes) and product delivery (production-grade work).

•Write clean, maintainable, and performant code while ensuring excellent user experiences.

What You’ll Need

•Solid knowledge of JavaScript and common web technologies (HTML, CSS).

•Hands-on experience with TypeScript.

•Experience with live map applications such as Leaflet, Mapbox, or Google Maps.

•Strong understanding of RESTful web services and asynchronous flows.

•Proven ability to write unit and end-to-end automation tests (e.g., Jest, Selenium, Playwright).

•An end-user product mindset and relentless focus on quality and performance.

•Collaborative team player who is curious, eager to learn, and brings new ideas to the table.
