JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are Insikt Intelligence, a Logically company. We develop cutting-edge AI tools to detect, analyse, and counter online harmful content such as disinformation, hate speech, extremism, and threats to public safety. We're seeking a Junior Machine Learning Engineer with a strong mathematical background who is eager to learn and grow in a high-performing AI team working at the intersection of network analysis, predictive analytics, and NLP.

Your Responsibilities:

• Model Development: Assist in building and training predictive models to understand how harmful narratives evolve and spread across online platforms.
• NLP Models: Support the development and fine-tuning of text classification models for tasks such as the detection of harmful content.
• Network Analysis: Help apply graph analytics to identify communities and key network features.
• Agentic AI Contribution: Contribute to the development of our agentic AI system, supporting the core development team.
• Learning & Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and data scientists to gain hands-on experience and grow your technical expertise.
• Contribute to research activities and deliverables as part of a European AI research consortium.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields.
• A strong interest in ML, social media analysis, and AI for good.
• Familiarity with Python and standard ML/NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, PyTorch).
• Some experience with graph-based data.
• Strong ability to work with messy, real-world data and design effective models that solve practical problems efficiently
• Willingness to learn fast and work on challenging, mission-driven problems.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with social media datasets or APIs.
• Familiarity with network analysis libraries (e.g., NetworkX, iGraph).
• Interest in agentic frameworks.
