Senior Android Developer

We're hiring a Senior Android Developer to join a growing team building innovative e-reading experiences across Europe and beyond. The engineering team is known for pushing the boundaries of Android OS customization for E Ink-based devices and delivering tailored reading systems for both Android and iOS.

This is a great opportunity to shape end-to-end product experiences, from embedded systems to full-stack Android app development and work on meaningful products used by thousands of readers globally.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement Android software solutions aligned with product strategy and user needs
• Take part in daily Scrum meetings and sprint planning with Product Owners and PMs
• Develop applications and services using Java/Kotlin in a GitFlow environment
• Build and maintain clean, testable code with strong unit test coverage
• Work on custom Android framework features, including SystemUI and proprietary launchers
• Contribute to both the evolution of existing systems and the development of new features (60/40 split)

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Android development
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and version control (Git)
• Solid grasp of design patterns and test-driven development
• Fluent in Polish (C1) and English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Firebase and Google Cloud Platform
• Interest in Android Framework development (prior experience not required!)
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders
