Senior Data Scientist – AI Development

What we do:

At ING Türkiye, we leverage the power of data science and advanced analytics to create impactful solutions across various domains. Our teams are at the forefront of driving AI transformation in the bank by:

• Building ML models to optimize business processes such as operations, credit risk, and customer engagement
• Partnering with departments to deliver data-driven solutions
• Developing reusable AI frameworks and scalable infrastructure
• Exploring cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision or generative AI to innovate in customer experience and internal operations
• Collaborating with data engineering teams to create robust data pipelines and scalable infrastructure
• Implementing GenAI technologies, including on-prem LLM models

We’re now building a secure, on-premise LLM platform based on open-source models like Gemma. This role will help design and develop key components — including LLMOps, agentic AI structures, and fine-tuning workflows while ensuring alignment with broader MLOps best practices.

If you think you have most of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Engineering, Statistics, etc.); Master’s in Data Science is a strong plus
• 4+ years of experience in Data Science / ML, with +3 hands-on project involving LLMs and GenAI
• Solid grasp of MLOps and LLMOps concepts, including CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, evaluation, and prompt logging
• Experience with ML/LLM deployment workflows, including MLflow, Airflow, model registries, and containerized GPU environments
• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, etc.)
• Experience with concepts like RAG, KG and solid understanding of A2A and MCP-style protocols
• Familiarity with fine-tuning and alignment techniques like LoRA, QLoRA, RoPE, RLHF etc.
• Excellent analytical skills; detail-oriented and forward-thinking
• Strong communicator and team player, fluent in Turkish and English

If you think you may take charge of the following responsibilities:

• Design and create LLMOps pipelines with logging, evaluation, and safety mechanisms
• Build and manage agentic AI frameworks for scalable internal use
• Prepare infrastructure for LLM fine-tuning and adaptation
• Develop internal libraries and tools to accelerate ML and GenAI projects
• Support teams in adopting LLM components across various use cases
• Integrate with MLOps workflows using tools like MLflow and internal registries
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams to ensure infrastructure alignment and end-to-end delivery
