About The Opportunity
The Cyber Security Operations Specialist acts as Health Infrastructure’s expert point of contact for all cyber security matters, providing strategic advice and technical leadership to safeguard critical systems and data. The role is responsible for the ongoing management and execution of cyber security operations and activities, including active monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, policy review/updates and the implementation of secure operational practices across ICT services. By working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including ICT Strategy, Risk and Governance, the position ensures HI’s digital environment remains resilient to threats, meets compliance obligations, and upholds cyber security policies. Ultimately, this role strengthens the organisation’s security posture and enables the safe and reliable delivery of health infrastructure services.
This is a full-time fixed term role for a period of two years. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.
Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.
This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

You are an experienced and passionate cybersecurity professional with a strong grasp of threat landscapes, risk management, and incident response. You bring a strategic mindset to security planning, along with hands-on expertise in managing security frameworks, compliance requirements, and working with diverse teams and stakeholders. Your communication skills enable you to engage confidently with both technical and executive stakeholders, translating complex risks into actionable insights. You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to safeguarding digital assets while fostering a culture of security awareness.
