What you’ll be doing

As a Fullstack Engineer, you’ll build and maintain core backend services that power conversational features in the Wolt app. This is a high-impact role with strong ownership, end-to-end responsibility, and the opportunity to shape the next generation of intelligent support experiences.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript, which integrate with real-time AI support workflows.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers, designers, and product managers to build features that solve real user problems.
• Take full ownership of the development lifecycle—from ideation and implementation to automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of systems across markets and use cases.
• Contribute to architectural and technical decision-making in a fast-moving, iterative development environment.
• Break down complex product features into technical tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  
  

Our humble expectations

We expect you to bring between 4 and 6 years of commercial software development experience, with at least 2 of those years focused on Python in production environments, and 1 year developing using NodeJs + TypeScript. You should have a solid understanding of backend development practices, including API design, service architecture, and database design.

Experience developing frontend with TypeScript + React, as well as experience with MongoDB is big plus. You must be comfortable taking ownership of testing, writing, and maintaining unit, integration, and functional tests without the support of a dedicated QA team.

You should be familiar with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions. We value self-driven individuals who thrive in autonomous environments and take initiative to solve problems proactively.

📍The role is based in Tallinn. We maintain a remote-friendly setup to foster innovation and teamwork.
