Java Software Engineer

🚨 Job Opening: Software Engineer (Full-time)

📍 Location: Leiden, the Netherlands (Hybrid: 1–2 days remote)

Are you ready to make a real impact in the healthcare sector through cutting-edge AI technology? We're looking for a Software Engineer to help scale a high-growth SaaS platform that's already leading the market in speech recognition software for general practitioners.

You’ll join a small, driven team working on tools that make life easier for healthcare professionals — and improve care for everyone.

💻 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Developing a scalable backend system to support rapid growth
• Expanding and integrating APIs with third-party applications
• Adding new features across backend and frontend
• Collaborating closely with a mission-driven team

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

✅ 3+ years of relevant experience

✅ Strong Java skills

✅ Familiarity with modern web frameworks (preferably Angular)

✅ Experience with Git and code reviews

✅ Team player with a pragmatic, proactive mindset

✅ Passion for tech with social or societal impact

✅ Able to work independently and ask for help when needed

✅ Dutch-speaking (minimum B2 level)

🐶 Bonus: Must be okay with (very friendly) office dogs!

⭐ Nice to Haves:

• Experience with LLMs
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, GitOps
• Monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
