Position Overview:
Britts Imperial University College is seeking a highly qualified and motivated IT Faculty Member to join our distinguished team under a Fly-In Fly-Out model. The selected candidate will work onsite at our Sharjah campus for the first 3 months, after which they will continue delivering lectures and academic support online from their home country. This hybrid model offers flexibility while maintaining the highest standards of academic engagement and student interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver engaging and high-quality lectures and seminars in IT-related subjects to undergraduate and graduate students both onsite (Sharjah campus) and online. Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
- Research: Conduct and publish research in the field of Information Technology in reputable journals; participate in academic conferences.
- Academic Advising: Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students, including support for research projects, career paths, and academic progress.
- Curriculum Development: Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the IT curriculum to align with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Institutional Service: Actively contribute to departmental and institutional committees, strategic planning, and community outreach initiatives.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in the IT domain.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: Ph.D. in Information Technology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: University-level teaching experience with a proven track record of academic research and publications. Industry or applied IT project experience is an added advantage.
- Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage students in both physical and virtual classrooms; proficient in relevant IT tools and e-learning platforms.
- Personal Attributes: Passion for teaching and academic excellence; collaborative, student-centered approach; adaptability to hybrid teaching models.
