Freelance Web Designer

A web designer is required to lead a full redesign and performance upgrade of an existing live website for a pet-focused business. The objective is to deliver a cleaner, more modern design inspired by examples like Cooperhaus, while also improving site speed, usability, and search engine visibility. The successful candidate or team will handle both front-end design and technical enhancements, ensuring the finished site is visually compelling and functionally robust. Strong communication, reliability, and the ability to meet a 2–3 week delivery timeframe are essential. This is a single project with the possibility of follow-up work based on performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in full website redesigns with an emphasis on UX and performance
• Proficiency in front-end design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Ability to implement design systems consistent with brand identity
• Experience optimizing websites for SEO, mobile responsiveness, and fast loading times
• Strong communication and project management skills, with a commitment to timely delivery
• Ability to work independently or as part of a remote team
• Familiarity with platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or custom CMS (as needed)
• Portfolio demonstrating similar projects, especially in lifestyle or pet-related industries, is preferred
